IP4 Failure on BB AI After Update Per bbb.io/update (bad route)
Created by: ayjayt
Describe the bug After updating /opt/scripts, any internet comms fail for ipv4 addresses when connected to home wifi. Not sure about ethernet.
This is because usb0 is set as the default gateway (per ip route
), apparently it's because of stray configuration leftover in /etc/network/interfaces
.
(deleting this entry in ip route
causes kernel to correctly set a sensible default- in my case, wlan0)
Describe which image you are running (example: bone-debian-10.2-iot-armhf-2020-02-03-4gb.img.xz)
The one that came with the board from the supplier (digikey?). Can pull dogtag/ID later.
Describe your hardware BB AI.
Describe any Capes Installed
Please run this built-in script
sudo /opt/scripts/tools/version.sh
I don't have access as the moment but I can update this posting later if necessary.
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Get a fresh board.
- Connect it to your home wifi (or maybe it wont work on ethernet either?)
- Follow the instructions on bbb.ai/update
- It will fail after updating /opt/scripts and updating kernel (maybe with a restart?) and you shouldn't be able to update cloud9 scripts (assuming that github is stil ipv4 by the time you try this).
